Description
This wooden sake set includes an open-mouthed katakuchi pitcher and two gouinomi sake cups, one black and one red.
The set is made of natural wood and “urushi” lacquer, but can be used for both cold and warm sake.
Yakumo Lacquerware is one of the famous crafts from Shimane Prefecture, and this sake set shows off the best aspects of the crafts, incorporating delicate designs painted on the cups and various brushing techniques on the pitcher.
The finish is very classy, and the sheen of the glossy lacquer changes when viewed from different angles.
